If you’re a regular at trade shows, you’ve likely noticed that equipment is continually evolving. For example, it’s easier than ever to transport your trade show booth thanks to new types of lightweight and compact stands. While many improvements affect the equipment, others are related to customer relations and technologies.

In this article, we share the ideas we find most interesting to apply on the ground for maximum impact at your next event.

Ideas for Your Booth and Stands

  • Fabric stands are all the rage! Lightweight and functional, they adapt to various situations and can take different shapes. Fabric allows you to cover a large, seamless surface to create the desired ambience. Its great advantage? Unmatched lightness.
  • Laminate surface stands with their wrinkle-free finish and great durability still have steadfast fans! There are still very interesting innovations in this area.
  • The trend is towards immersive ambiences. What does this mean? It simply involves creating a design that “captures” people and provides an experience. To achieve this, different methods can be applied:

o Suspend elements above the booth. High items definitely attract attention, and can be seen from afar.

o Install flooring over your space. From custom carpets to linoleum with decals, the possibilities are endless!

o Having a “bridge,” that is, a structure that connects the ceiling and the floor to create volume and ambience in your booth.

  • It’s trendy to set up a lounge area with comfortable chairs that encourage longer conversations. Add the possibility of charging phones, and you’ll become indispensable!
  • Opt for simple graphics and avoid multiple images and text-heavy paragraphs that visually burden your exhibition space. Your primary goal is to establish your company’s notoriety. Your brand message will be much clearer with a streamlined booth design.
  • Equip yourself with LED lamps to illuminate your stand. Energy-efficient, these lamps offer power and durability without generating heat. Also think about backlit displays to add impact to your message. They are available in various formats, from small frames to full walls! Remember that trade shows often take place in large, poorly-lit spaces. Therefore, it’s very important to have lighting to showcase your booth.

Ideas to Build Client Relationships

  • Take advantage of your presence at the show to increase your Facebook, Twitter, and other subscribers. Clearly display your social presence to allow people to follow you.
  • Install electronic tablets to create interaction and learn about your clients.

o Offer a contest and take the opportunity to boost sign-ups to your newsletter.

o Propose a survey to complete on a tablet. It’s a fun way to engage people while gathering relevant information about potential clients.

o Show a slideshow of photos of your achievements or present a video. However, don’t rely on sound (music and voices) to attract people. The audio atmosphere of trade shows is often saturated.

o Innovate by proposing a game! It’s a playful way to engage people and showcase your products and services.

o Allow people to write questions or comments directly on an application on the tablet. This way they can express themselves in full confidentiality.

The success of your trade show presence depends on many aspects. From the quality of your presence to that of your equipment, all details matter!
